I have always been an outsider. I associate with the outlier looking in; of being “other.” In my practice, I explore blurred lines of identity and demarcation, the sense of longing to belong, the lasting effect of colonialism and the subjugation of voices. In addressing the absence of representation, I act as a revisionist. I work to insert people of color into the visual lexicon; creating access, inclusion and a push for a place at the table.
